Meet Our Staff
Exceptional property management requires careful attention to every aspect of each property. Detailed reports assist in the process, but the key is a talented staff, which is well trained and supervised. Our corporate headquarters is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where we employ 10 professionals in the fields of accounting, human resources, and operations management. On selected sites we employee resident managers, leasing agents, and maintenance staff.
Employee Profiles
Marti Mills - Owner/President
Marti founded Bear Property Management as the
management arm of Bear Realty in 1989. What has begun as a home-based
management operation has grown under her expertise into a multi-faceted
organization that is presently one of the largest residential Management
Companies in Southeastern Wisconsin. Ms. Mills holds a Bachelors Degree
in Education and Psychology. She was formerly a teacher in private and
public institutions. She has over 20 years of real estate development
and management experience.
Steve Mills - Owner/Vice-President
From management and marketing, to
a broad spectrum of real estate industry expertise that includes construction
and banking, Mr. Mills provides a highly specialized business to business
connection for this Bear family of companies.
A 1971 graduate of Western Illinois University, Mr. Mills associated with Bear Realty in 1973. Acquiring this company in 1980, he has guided this organization through two decades of growth and expansion.
STAFFING
Leonard Browne
Controller, has an Accounting Degree from Northern
Illinois University and has successfully completed the CPA exam. He formerly
worked as an Accountant for a large public utility in Illinois and spent
12 years in banking.
Before joining Bear Property Management, Mr. Browne was the Assistant Vice President for Advantage Bank where he supervised the Accounting Department. He is currently responsible for all financial statements, analysis and reporting for the company and it's clients.
Barbara Stasierowski
Director of Property Management, is an IREM, CPM Candidate,
and has over 25 years of residential property management experience.
Prior to joining Bear Property Management, Ms. Stasierowski was a Regional
Property Manager for a large New York Property Management Corporation
covering their Midwest Portfolio, which spanned 3 states.
Prior to that she was Property Manager for a large residential development
for many years and developed hands-on experience covering new construction
and initial marketing and lease up through major renovations.
